Hello,

I recently moved south to live with my fiance and his family.. his father a few years back had been told that Sandy Loam was *the* soil to use for a garden, then found out it did nothing but harm his plants.. now from what i can tell, this was a few years ago.. maybe 10-15 years...

My question is.. Im starting a garden, and having issues with their small tiller, and ive decided im going to go over it a few times to get it to the depth i need.. But will any left over sandy loam cause problems with vegies? We plan on, Tomatos, basil, carrots, possibly cabbage/lettuce and a few others, ive consulted some *garden employee's* from some hardware stores, and they couldnt give me a deffinate yes or no on any in particular that would do great or not in sandy loam.

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
