Hello,

Last October I got an Astrophytum asterias, before repotting I cut of it's taproot because I've read that it makes them less prone to rot.Now after four months it still isn't growing but it is responding to watering by plumping up when it gets a bit shriveled; I don't know if I'm just impatient and expecting it would be growing already or if I did something I shouldn't, any help is greatly appreciated The plant gets around two hours of afternoon sun and gets watered about every week and a half or so, depends on how shriveled it looks.

Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
